VEEEEEEERRRRRRRY CAREFULLY! Actually, they need to be introduced on a neutral ground when possible. I don't have cats, but all of my family does. My brats run over to the cats to be friends but they soon learn, the cats are different. They can jump really high straight up and they smack you good up side the head. Helps tremendously if the cat is declawed...Dogs can suffer eye injuries if the cat has front claws..
