Don't ya hate it when people get all weird like that? I mean, everyone is different but some people get offended over silly things (like your neighbor).
Your neighbor sounds like she doesn't know much about animals cause a lot of different animals are expensive. AND you get what you pay for...there is good reasons for the cost of a Yorkie $$$ (or any other pure-bred pooch).
I think you spent the money very wisely....
