Well, I don't know much, but what I do know is from a sure source. The vet I saw yesterday (from a University teaching hospital) told me that the x-rays were important for many reasons, the first being that you know exactly how many babies you should be expecting. This way, if they say four and everything stops after three (no fourth puppy after an hour), you know you have a problem and you need to take your dog in immediately. They even told me there was no danger in having a second x-ray taken.

You said she was in heat in April, so she'd be due sometime in June, just like Bo. I would strongly suggest an x-ray, especially if she's so big. Otherwise, how will you know what to look for?
