Default Cut them from your list

I have had that problem on occasion. If someone does that twice, they are off my list. Also my mother said never send a "regrets only" because there is always a chance the invite could get lost. I also put a date by which they should respond.

Every now and then I have this sneaky idea of saying the party is at a restaurant. When people RSVP I tell them it's at my house- same day and time. For those clods who don't reply, let them show up at the restaurant which of course will have no notion of what's going on. If these "no respond" guests" call to complain, I could just say "Sorry dear, since I did not hear, I assumed you were not coming and didn't have time to call."

Another pet peeve is those "save the date" cards for weddings and other events. I told my daughter Hell would freeze over before I wasted money on that. I said simply tell the people you really want to be there when you are getting married, and send the invitations 6 weeks in advance. That'll keep expenses down.

Maybe if these people get a taste of their own rudeness they will shape up.
