It isn't called anything... they don't have cycles.

There's a lot that goes into studding out a male. You have to #1, make sure he is within the breed standard. Then you need to move on to having all of the appropriate testing done. Then there are contracts that you will need between you and the owner of the dam. How well do you know his lines? That's something else you really need to consider. It's not as easy as just putting a male with a female and having puppies.
