This really touched me, so I had to share it with all of you. I have three children, Katie(almost 13) Reanna(almost 9) and Gage (almost 6, yes I have all summer babies!) Reanna is so sweet and kind, and just a pleasure to have around most of the time. She came home from school and asked if she could go out for the schools cheer leading squad. We said yes, it seemed to fit her little personality. However we were shocked to find out how competitive it was at this age! There was another girl (her age) that started bulling her a recess, telling her that she wasn't good enough to make. This really upset Reanna! My sweet baby girl start to doubt herself. I went to the practice with the next day to make sure she was ok and in the middle of it after a break, she came up to me crying, because of this other little girl. She wanted to quit, I told her that she couldn't, and that not to let this other girl bother her and I would be proud no matter if she made it or not!!!!! Ok, I know this is long, but i need to give you guys some back round. Well, try out came and she didn't make it, she was crushed. On the way home we were talking about the fun stuff she could do this summer, instead of being in the gym practicing. OK,here we go.... She said Mom, I helped you plant the veggies- I said yep. She said do you think I could have some, I said sure, you'll eat them with us. She said "No" momma that not what I mean. I said then what do you mean,she replied I want to sell them and help the animals that need help! I wanted to cry!!!!! She wants to help grow these veggies and sell them to give the $ to an animal shelter. She said she saw how the animals need things at the shelters on Animal Plant. My husband is going to make her a little road side stand and have a sign made- Reanna's Rescues Veggies! After we start talk about she said this is better than cheer
leading could ever be! I'm not sure how much she will actually make ( I'm sure I'll have to buy some of my own veggies to help support it- But that ok with me!)
