Kelsey got a hold of a wooden fan (wedding favor for an outdoor wedding) when I wasn't looking and chewed a few peices off. Well she came up to me like she was choking and then she started drinking a lot of water to try and push whatever it was in her throat down, and even ate. Well hours went by and she seemed to have gotten worse. She was in pain and salivating a lot, but was still pretty awake and seemed ok...this was on a sunday when the regular vet was closed (of course! ) so i called the emergency vet and expalined her symptoms and they said to just keep a good eye on her and wait until the morning. So i went to the vet in the a.m. and they said she had a peice of wood stuck in her back tooth and it was scraping her tounge really bad every time she swallowed... so i could only imagine the pain she must have been in! So they had to put her under and take it out.. the vet said she hasnt seen a tounge that beat up in a while... good thing i went to the vet and they found it. She is ok now.. but geesh what a scare!
