Glad you were able to gently talk with her. Blending families can be difficult, but it is possible. Sounds like she was just thinking the rubber band was a bracelet. Eight years old is very young and as you know, this is probably a frightening experience for her. How do I know all of this? First hand and have experienced the situation from both sides. Take lots of deep breaths and this is a Kodak moment in her life. Warmly, Deborah
