I put onesies on Emma when she was spayed, and it worked really well. She was about 5 lbs when she was spayed, and I bought the Gerber Brand newborn sized onesies. The trick to get them to fit well is to wash them once or twice in warm or hot water, and then put them in the dryer. They'll shrink quite a bit, and stretch to the size you need them to be. The generic brand sizes aren't as "true" to the weights they put on them-we have some of those too, and they're much bigger. Emma wears them (unbuttoned) as pajamas in the winter.
I plan to do this with Milli when she gets spayed too, but I think I might need to buy the preemie size for her since she's still 3 lbs at 6 months. |
