As much as I love my canon rebel, I always warn people that it's probably not for everyone. It's big and clunky, and you're wasting your money if you're not at least a serious amateur photographer or have aspirations of being one. The camera alone is $800 or $900, and the lens everyone is talking about is several hundred more.

I agree . . they are BIG and BULKY so they are sometimes not worth bringing on trips . . .It is for that reason that I left it behind when I went to the Yorkie Fair. But for my business, I love it although I am not fully using it features . . .need to sit down more and learn but just don't have the time right now
