Thanks for the opinions everyone. You don't know how much your support means to me. I have to talk to the stud's mom and if she says she is planning on keeping Matty in the trailer with her, I'll go ahead and let her have Matty. If not, it's going to hit us hard but we're going to try to keep Matty.

I have considered trying to make a new agreement or offering to keep Matty until the house is built but I don't know if the house is even started. We could be really, REALLY attached to her by then. It can take 6 months out here to build a house. It's like they start it, run out of money and have to save up some more and then work on it some more.

MeganS.: Where she lived before was over an hour's drive away, now it's over 2 hours away and we just don't go up to the area where she moved.

Luzangela: I like both of your ideas. I had thot of offering her a puppy from a future litter but wasn't sure if the idea had merit. Now that someone else has had the same idea maybe it would work. She shouldn't breed Matty back to her father and by the time my next female comes in heat Mr. Big ought to be old enough to do the job.

Stitches and Mya's Mom: She is a breeder. She is moving on some land near her daughter who is also a breeder. They already have a kennel, they mainly raise 2 types of bull dogs. French and something else. They just have a few Yorkies. It doesn't seem like they are branching out into Yorkies, just keeping the ones they have.

Mya's Mom: Hubby also had the idea that they might be just wanting to sell Matty. It's possible but stud's mom wanted a female from my Lady.

Yorkie Rose - Pat isn't it? - I didn't have a stud at the time when Lady came in heat and I do now. He should be almost/maybe old enough to breed when Autumn comes in heat again, earliest 3 months from now. He should be almost 9 months. But I'm not sure I'll use him that early. I can use his father, his owner is a lot more friendly and seems a lot more reasonable. And lives a lot closer.

So if nothing further changes I'm going to: 1. Talk to stud's mom and see where she is planning on keeping Matty.
2. If she plans on putting Matty out in a kennel I'm going to ask for a renegotiation of our contract.

Thank you all and I'll let you know what happens as soon as I know anything. Sylvia
