Breeders, I have a question for you. We bought Ellie on Sept. 1st, 2001. She was born July 9th, 2001 (I know she was too young now). I was looking at her AKC papers and next to DAM it has her registration number, then next to that is a date. It says 4-94. I am guessing that is when the female was born? That would make sense because I think Ellie's mom was 6 or 7 when we got Ellie. But, next to SIRE it has his registration number, then the date next to that is 5-01. He could not have possibly been born 2 months before his daughter. What am I missing? Are these not the parents birthdays? Is this a typo? I feel really silly/ignorant for asking this. Its probably obvious.
