While there are many good breeders - there are probably more bad out there these days - he very well could be a mix and you shouldn't feel badly not trusting that breeder. He IS your baby and I can tell you love him
but it seems you did get taken on the Purebreed price. IF I were you - I'd say something to the breeder just so it's out in the open. It doesn't take away from you having a great little dog - but you're right to wonder.....to me he looks like he has a little weiner dog in him - but he has a beautiful face !!
ps - being registered APRI is about as valuable as the paper it's printed on. These days anyone can register anything which is why the AKC is so important.
