I was all set to tell you to start socializing them right away, but First Yorkie, as usual, has the best advice. That makes perfect sense. Start slow and build up.

I wanted to have macho Yorkies, and I was a little disappointed when I found out they were often afraid. But when you think about it, everything and everyone in their world is bigger than them. It's natural and even healthy for them to be afraid.

But they do get better. My 3-year-old is a social butterfly in most situations now. But, as First Yorkie said, I started slow.
