I didn't find it bad. I found it more of a flea shampoo smell? What I like about it is that its all natural and will repell fleas, ticks, and biting insects for 7 days. I find that to be a  for summer.
I'm going to purchase a bottle and see how it works for us. I didn't mind the smell at all. Its more of a "dog" smelling shampoo verses a fu-fu smell like I'm used to with Pantene.

I agree i liked it too. It left Mojo's coat really soft and silky. The smell wasn't too bad but th one thing i dont like is the fact that he is still scratching. It's driving me nuts and i cant imagine that its pleasant for him either. Other than the still itchy part. I really liked it.
