My best friend got her maltese-yorkie mix for $35 at the pound. She got him when he was 10 weeks, and now he's 6 months and 4 pounds, and absolutely beautiful. If you're getting a mutt anyway, I'd say just go to the pound. Its much cheaper, and you're saving an animal.
