I heard that once dogs find out how sweet it is to sleep in your own bed, they hardly want to go back! I have to put a "fresh" t-shirt (meaning freshly worn by myself or my husband) in her bed, or else she won't sleep there and beg to be in bed with us.
I guess the good news is that your dog won't go potty on your bed since that's where it sleeps
