Aren't we blessed to have these beautiful souls in our lives? I had a cat named Mackeral who helped me through so much...he was my true friend through so many difficult years, just like your Simon is to you. As their physical bodies weaken, it's oh so difficult.
Remember that just as you are lucky to have him, he is so blessed to have YOU in his life. I will keep you both in my prayers.
