She even offered to send me Kileys paperwork and the CKC ID number for the father. His name is Cricket and he is also a yorkie. I told her I was afraid that when she found out that she would try to take Kiley, she said she wouldnt do that and that this is not the first time that she rehomed an older yorkie who turned out to be pregnant when she rehomed her.
I do feel better knowing that shes never had serious problems...but she is older and having a larger litter. OH, her temp is back up to 99.1. Im getting ready to throw the thermometer (sp) out the window!! shes in her bed laying on her back with her feet in the air knocked out, I swear I think i can hear her snoring!!! LOL....
That is good the breeder is going to give you the paperwork. why hadn't she given it to you before? At least now you can get the puppies registered and please do. About the hotdogs, everyone knows it isn't the best thing in the world but when my girl stopped eating two weeks before whelping, two vets told me to five her ANYTHING she would eat. You have to. mine ate hot dogs and for about a couple of days, she only ate cooked chicken livers. Try some of that. But at this point, don't worry a whole lot about WHAT she is eating as long ass she IS eating. soon as mine had her puppies, she went right back on her regular food without missing a beat. After she whelpss, you are going to want the vet to give you a calcuim supplement with such a large litter. Also, add about a tablespoon of cottage cheese to her morning food. My girls had five babies each and the vet gave me calcuim pills for them. dixie, the one that just had puppies, only had two and he said the cottage cheese is all she needs. of course, I feed only puppy food for the regular diet.
