The newer method I have been told, the clamp and twist, is very easy to do and the puppies have very little pain and slight to no blood. Several breeders do it while the puppies are nursing and other than a little yelp with the clamp is put on the puppies don't even seem to notice or cry about it.

I prefer the docked tail. I have seen how thin and fragile some yorkies tails are so I can see why they are docked. I think it is better to dock them and prevent them from breaking or damaging their tail later because it wasn't docked. JMO.
