Almost like those two were the only two products on the planet. I can't use Advantix, I have a cat and I'm not happy with Frontline because I'd rather prevent the ticks from biting in the first place. I don't want to wait for the product to kill it after, when he could even have already gotten lymes.

Up until about a couple weeks ago, I didn't even know that you could buy the stuff over the counter. I thought the only place you could buy it was through the vet.

I've heard a lot about Revolution. Does anyone use that? I also looked on ebay and found something called Biospot.

Please don't use Bio Spot!!! Mine had bad reactions to it. One of them itched like crazy for about 3 days, another for two days and the third one lost hair, got open sores and had to be on meds and the vet put steroid cream on the sores and she also didn't eat well (my dog, not the vet!)

I contacted the company and all they say is they are sorry and to report it to the poison control or somewhrere, which I did. I tried calling a couple of times but only got recordings...

On the packaging, it states that those are possible reactions, but I never expected it to be so bad or expensive... $85.00 to the vet.
