Wanted to reply to pooping 2 or 3 inches from the pad.......Dax does not like to go poop when I am watching so just recently I was able to figure out why he goes 2 or 3 inches from the pad. He will start out on the pad then after he squats he starts to walk and usually by the time the doo falls he is off the pad lol. I am afraid there is no breaking him of this habit so I try to keep the pad off the carpet where it is easy to clean. He is also bad about putting his front feet on the pad then when he pees it is actually hitting the floor. I just cannot bring myself to scold him because he thinks he is doing right. I am going to try putting my pad in a shallow plastic box this should solve my problem.
