What bugs me is that when people see Lucy and Rebel together, they accept that Reb is a yorkie but always ask if Lucy if full-blooded because she's bigger. She's 1 & 1/2 and weighs 11 lbs. She's a little chunky and her vet says she needs to lose 2 lbs. We've been walking lots more and playing in the yard more, but it hurts my feelings when people make a big deal out of Rebel and basically ignore Lucy. She's soooo loving and smart, I think she knows what they're saying! |
I get the same thing my penny is about 10 pounds and my new guy Lucky is 5 lbs and when everyone see the both of them they go "oooh what a cute little puppy he's a yorkie right and but what is she"

I stare at them and say what she's a f***king Bear j/k I usually small and tell them she's a yorkie and they go no she's not then go on to tell them that like human beings they come in all sizes then I get a look from them of confusiion and they respond I though they are like teacups and normal size of 5 lbs and I get mad again and tell them I'm short does that make me less of a human because of my height?? Then I give them the lecture that I rescue yorkies and have seen them in all sizes.
I also get alot of the how much did you pay? I tell them over two grand they stare in shock and then they go why sooo much and then I proceed to tell them how much would you pay for you child i bet at least half a million right??? Then they tell me so teacups must cost more.

then in rage again I have to educate because everyone always says my friend is getting those teacup things and it is completely housetrained I just want to yell at them because people do not the do the research and take the time to learn about the breed is why so many pups are put in shelters, abandoned and it gets me soooo angry
