 Fun before the meetup?
If we go, we would get there on Thursday or Friday. More than likely staying at a campground, if there is one close by. I agree that 1 day isn't very long for those that travel far but if there are others, some of us could get together and have a cookout or something on Friday night at the campground (weather permitting).... The dogs could play in the xpens and socialize, too.
Most campgrounds allow pets, if they are picked up after. Some even have picnic shelters, too!
