This is how I did it. I took my puppy of 5 wks old (she's 4 mths old now) and put her in a crate. I had a small bed I bought from walmart (only $10) in there and then outside of the bed was the pee pad. Most dogs won't pee/poo where they sleep, so it worked out great for us. She picked up the pee pad thing right away and now we can trust her around the house. Of course she had accidents at the beginning (peeing on beds, carpets, anything soft). But she eventually picked it up. Now we leave the crate open for her w/ her bed inside and she still sleeps in there at night. The pee pads are on the floor now though. Good luck!
