Yep, smell it. If it's urine - go to the vet! We also thought this was from Loki licking but it happened once when he was napping near me and I watched him the whole time and he did not lick. We took him to the vet and she said he had nighttime incontinence where his muscles just spasmed or even relaxed too much. The drug is call PPA (phenylpropanoalamine, I think) and I give it to him at night. We had NO IDEA because he was totally house trained, although he does go out A LOT during the day. From the DAY we got the PPA we had no more problems. It worked right away.
Oh, Loki has to be on the meds forever BUT they don't seem to have any side effects (he's been on it for a year now) and it's super cheap because Yorkies are so small. A $30 bottle lasts around 4-6 months.
