Gracie hates her car seat. She always has her harness and lead on when we are in the car. For short trips, she just rides in the passenger seat next to me. She used to like to ride on the jockey box, but one day I slammed on the breaks and she ended up in the back seat. That was the end of her jockey days. Anyway, for long rides I have a loop that the seat belt goes through, and on the end is a thingy to attach it to her harness, just like a leash. It gives her no room to move so she is pretty much forced to sit or lay down in the seat when she gets tired of standing. At least I know she won't go flying if I have to hit the breaks hard.
