I had Bo groomed at 10 weeks. It was a "puppy cut" which is basically just a quick bath, blow dry, nails trimmed, and face trimmed up. I also asked her to shave his ears and also his bottom (for hygiene purposes). She was wonderful with him and he did fine. I think as long as the groomer is patient and is used to puppies they do fine at about that age. Bo is my first Yorkie and I had read that to get the ears to stand, you must keep them shaved. His ears aren't standing yet and he's 3 months old. I'm not going to tape, tried it and it was too much trouble. If they stand, they stand...
