Riley wants to send a huge 'Thank You!' to everyone! He had a good day...I cooked for him and we planned to take him on his first boat ride but it rained so we'll have to try that another day.
I can't believe he's 2 already. When we first met Riley I had my doubts and I almost didn't buy him. He wasn't a cute, fluffy puppy, he was nervous and quite withdrawn...didn't know how to play or interact with people and if you wanted to hold him you had to go get him, he was very stiff and uncomfortable when picked up...he had a lot of the personality traits that people say to stay away from! After about 3 hours of sitting in the breeder's living room talking Yorkies my husband said 'Teri, pay the lady for the puppy and let's go home!'. So, I paid the breeder and told myself 'he'll be good company for Jo no matter what he looks like!' and off we went with our new pup. He puked all over me on the 2 hour drive home (thank goodness I brought towels just in case!) and once we got home he just stood towards the outskirts of the room...it took him a couple of days before he would come near us or Jo on his own and he had no idea how to play or what a toy was but with a lot of love and attention he came around. He has now turned into a beautiful little love bug who comes out of his shell a little bit more everyday and I'm glad he's here! |
