there is a possibility he may need his glands expressed again but that wouldn't be the cause for the soft stools. You said they are mucousy and have blood, which makes me think of colitis. i agree that a bland diet of chicken and rice in is order. Hopefully this will make him feel better by tuesday. If not, you can always take a stool sample to the vets and have them check it out. If you think he starts getting crampy and uncomfortable then i'd take him and a stool sample to the vet on tuesday.

luckily this shouldn't prompt you to bring him to the vet. he should be ok.
