I am sorry to hear about this! I, too, suffer from migraines and it is a nightmare to live with the pain!!!!!!!!! I started getting mine about 20 years ago and they have gotten a lot worse as I have gotten older. I also take Imitrex (100mg) and also have the Imitrex shots on hand, too. Another thing that has helped me is to find a specialist in headache care. He has been such a caring doctor and has taken the time to help me get mine somewhat under control....I was having about 8-10 a month, with each one lasting 2 days a time. Now I am down to about 4 or 5 a month. However, when I get them now, I can take an Imitrex pill or for the ones that are making me throw up, I go straight to the Imitrex shot. Along with the Imitrex, my doctor started me on 2 daily preventative prescriptions. I also had a MRI done last year. I am claustraphobic so I was worried about that but if you tell the people administering the test, they will either give you something that relaxes you or you can try to cover your eyes first, to see if that works. The tech just covered my eyes with a towel and I kept my eyes shut under that. I was fine with that....the only thing that no one told me about was how incredibly loud the machine is (it was a loud knocking sound). You do wear ear plugs but mine was still loud. It ended up taking less time than what I thought that it would and it really is not bad.

Good luck...get better soon!
