1 cup wheat germ
2 jars meat baby food (preferably chicken)
1. Combine the wheat germ and baby food to form a dough.
2. Roll into 1 inch (or smaller) balls. Place on a baking sheet and flatten with a fork.
3. Bake at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack
Peanut Butter Rounds
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 cups oats
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
1/4 cup honey
1 teasp. baking powder
1/2 cup water
1. Combine all ingredients, mixing well.
2. Form mixture into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten balls with a fork.
3. Bake at 325* for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

My dog Dax loved the wheat germ treats. I also made some with peanut butter and those were a hit too! I will eat the pb ones too lol. One evening my friend and I were eating popcorn and Dax was eating the pb treats, she was mortifed when she saw me eating a treat instead of popcorn. It was quite funny until I explained to her that I had made them and what they were made of. Now she eats them with Dax when she feeds them to him.
