I read on the Web that his diet should be Low Protein - Low Fat.
I have always feed them all Puppy Food because we always have a puppy here. Scruffy & Lexi are 2 yrs old & probably should be on Adult Food.
Maybe thats where I messed up - trying to make it easy to just leave dry kibble out for them all the time.
They normally eat:
Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul Dry - Protein 28% - Fat 18%
mixed with before Recall:
Nutro Ultra Puppy Can - Protein 9% - Fat 5%.
BUT
I recently got a new puppy & she was on
Purina Pro Plan Puppy Dry Protein 30% - Fat 20%
mixed with:
Pedigree Lamb & Rice Puppy Can Protein 9% - Fat 8%.
So I had switched all of them to this about a month ago.
Then switched back to Chicken Soup & Pedigree canned about 3 weeks ago.
Scruffys problems started 2 weeks ago.
I stopped the canned food totally yesterday.
they still are eating Chicken Soup Puppy
& I Home Cooked today for them.
BUT I think the Lean Beef in the recipe is to much Protein
(couldn't find Lamb Down here)
I recieved samples in the mail today from Artimis - to high in protein & fat 29% & 18%..
Can't get Canidae around here - the lamb & Rice formula is only 21%protein - 12.5 fat.
I don't know what the hell to feed them now!
Ive searched the web to find a Dry Dog Food low in Protein & Fat
I think we have Natural Balance Potatoe & Duck 21%protein & 10%fat at Petsmart.
Wellness Products (chicken, lamb or fish & sweet potatoe)22% protein & 12%fat at a local Pet Store.
