Be careful on sites like puppyfind and nextdaypets. There are a lot of scammers out there! Yorkies are usually expensive dogs, so it's safe to assume that most ads for yorkies under $500, unless they are rescues, are scams. They tell you the same sad story: missionary in cameroon, not enough time to take care of the yorkie or the climate is bad for them. Also stay away from pet stores because those pups are usually bred in puppy mills and all that does is feed into the puppy mill's pockets. Research breeders online and if you find one that you think you like, post about them here and someone is bound to have some experience with them. Also, check your newspaper! I found my yorkie on washingtonpost.com!
