Putting cost aside, this is how I feel about vets and flea/tick preventative.
I don't feel educated enough by the vets to make a decision on what is best to use on Chip. They basically gave me two options: Advantix and Frontline. Period. Almost like those two were the only two products on the planet. I can't use Advantix, I have a cat and I'm not happy with Frontline because I'd rather prevent the ticks from biting in the first place. I don't want to wait for the product to kill it after, when he could even have already gotten lymes.
Up until about a couple weeks ago, I didn't even know that you could buy the stuff over the counter. I thought the only place you could buy it was through the vet.
I've heard a lot about Revolution. Does anyone use that? I also looked on ebay and found something called Biospot.
