Hi, I have been just reading posts the last few months but even if i don't own a Yorkie can tell you about long flights, LOL!

have flown with a shih tzu from AZ to MN, then MN to Japan and Japan to Philippines - dog was under my seat. NW airlines.

On the AZ to MN leg of journey the stewardesses were very kind and let me put the dog bag on the set next to me which was empty and we just put the seatbelt on handles of bag. But this was before 9-11. It was a 3 months before 9-11.

I flew First class and my dog started to bark, I was allowed to take dog out of bag from under the seat and put him on my lap.

For bathroom what I did was bring wee wee pads in my bag.

Then I would take whole dog carrier with dog in it to bathroom. I put down wee wee pad on bathroom floor and put dog on it and I sat on closed toilet seat - WAS A TIGHT SQUEEZE, LOL LOL! But I am small and my dog is small.
