I think the findings on vaccinations are too new to really determine if the shots are necessary every year. It is one of those decisions you will need to make. One side is that if you don't get their shots and they become ill, you will be guilt ridden. Then on the other hand, if they get their shots, you will keep wondering if they were necessary. There is a test now that the vet can do, to determine if there is still enough vaccinations serum in the animal to protect against diseases. I can understand your concern with your little senior citizen. My dad, which is 80 does not get his little one vaccinated. After her first year, that was it. He said she is never outside to get sick. I hope he is right, for his sake. His little one is now 9.
