I think you'll find it helpful. You can ignore the food recommendation as far as dog food, and follow your breeder's recommendation. However, the feeding routine is pretty sensible and is designed to prevent hypoglycemia in the puppy. Also the recommendation for rest-time and what you can expect the first few days I found very helpful.
