I just signed the petition. This is one of the most ridiculous laws I have ever seen. The government has no right telling you that you have to spay or neuter your pet. The law says that all dogs must be spayed/neutered by four months. That is too early for some dogs. Besides, it has been proven that for most males to be neutered it is more of a health risk then a benefit. It also says that you can't breed most working dogs/leader dogs for the blind. Where are they going to get new ones? My Yorkie is 6 and she is not spayed. Why would they want to pick on the one pet owner that has made a decision not to have their pet altered? I'm sure through all this pet stores can continue to sell puppies from mills if they have them shipped in from other states and they are altered. I think I'll stay in Michigan and hope it doesn't spread here. Am I missing something?
