I have one. I was going to get two this time around...start with one and then add another 1-2 years down the road. I got another one briefly (because while picking up mine I fell for another one too) but he was not as nice and had "issues" so he had to go back to the breeder.
The fact that they played was SO nice...but the fact that he had "issues" and I still had to train my 6mos old...just too much for me.
I debate back and forth all the time. My dog would love another dog...but he is SO much work. Very mischevious. And the housebreaking...well he knows what to do...but if you don't respond to him quickly...he's going to go where he wants...so that needs more work.
If I had two, I wouldn't feel right taking my dog as many places as I do and leaving the other one home. Now I can shove Sparks in a bag or the car SO easily. He is 7lbs so carrying two yorkies in a purse is not an option.
At work, peop[le are happy to watch Sparks...but another one...I don't think so.
I go back and forth about it. Plus I homecook and do supplements which are very expensive and we plan on doing agility. I do like the bonding of just one.
