My puppy is 5 months old and for the first couple months we kept her confined to the bathroom at night but for the last month or so we have let her sleep with us every night. Her potty training was going GREAT, she was going on the pads and outside on her walks consistantly with no problems. I would get her up once a night sometimes but many nights she was going 8 hrs without ever getting up...........soooo, last night I came home and my boyfriend had been playing with her on the bed before bedtime and sometime during that time she had peed on the bed. I attributed this to him not making her use the pad before he took her in the bedroom and I didn't really get upset about it because I just figured it was his fault, we washed everything and I figured it wouldn't happen again. Then just now, tonight, we went to lay down and she was still kindof in play mode so she was moving around and chewing on a bone, then she was doing her digging thing and was on my legs when I noticed she was squatting!!! She peed right on the blanket on my legs!! I couldn't believe, I know it wasn't that she really had to go because she had just went a lot on the pad like 30 min. before. I am sooo upset about this and I don't know why she is doing it or what to do. I know she is still very young, but I can't have her doing this. I would hate to have to confine her again and the problem is also I know she would cry a lot and we live in an apartment so I can't really let that go on. I just don't know why this started all of a sudden. Oh, and she also peed in her carseat today! Please help! Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! (Sorry this is long!)
