We got my grandmother a Maltese several years ago...
And we got him from a breeder co-op. (Many area breeders bring in pups to this one location) I'm pretty sure they tried to sell them the other ways, too- privately and online.
I wish it were possible to have more co-op type places. I think that it would eliminate the need for chain/puppy mill stores. The mom/pop places sound a lot like a co-op. You can go see many kinds of puppies firsthand and play with them. |
