I think (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong lol) a BACKYARD breeder is someone who breeds, doesn't show and doesn't take good care of their dogs. A HOBBY breeder is someone who loves their dogs, does not show but treats the dogs like member of the family rather than a source of income.
I may be wrong but that's always what I thought those 2 terms meant.
