I give mine Happy Jack Milkade, about 1 week prior to whelping, but you can give after too. I get it at the farmers co-op. I just put it in some food and I've never had problem with them not having enough good milk. just follow directions on bottle. It's a powder that you mix with water, stinks but it works!! I've used it for years.
