Here's a good tip for cleaning the yucky stuff (the usual eye gunk) from baby's eyes: we always wet a soft washcloth with very warm water (so the washcloth is actually warm/hot) and then use the edge to clean up their eyes.

Now, nothing says they actually like us doing this, but their eyes need to be cleaned every now and then and they seem to like the warm-ness of the cloth better than the cold wet ones.
