My puppy was very small at birth and then grew to 1 pound at 4 weeks. I was told that you really can't tell how big they will get during the young age while they are nursing, after they are off mom's milk and running around they gain much slower. My Mia is just 18ounzes at almost 9 weeks, she has not gained near as much since that one huge growth spurt.
