The rollover method is the best method -- kayaredee is right. You can also show you're boss by teaching them 'no' and just through everyday training like sit, down and stay. This teaches them that you are the rulemaker and they learn to trust your judgement if you gently enforce the rules. My non-yorkies got in a fight this a.m. over food and I seperated them and rolled over the aggressor and left the other one alone b/c she was just defending her treat. I looked the bad boy in the eyes and growled at him and talked in a stern voice until he looked away. Usually, after being reprimanded this way, they will come back a few minutes later and be all sweet and licky -- like thy're saying, "ok, I understand, I'm sorry." It's pretty funny. My yorkie was shy to begin with, not a leader type, but he sure wants a piece of everything that's going on and talks to us a lot about it.
