AKC is more well known. I am not going to say who is better and who is not as I personally don't know and since I don't "show" my dogs I personally don't care about the registration.
I have a CKC dog and I LOVE HER. He dad was AKC but her mom was CKC so she has to be CKC. My other yorkie is not registered at all and again I don't care.
