I have personally been through a rough time because of the dogfood recall. My Cockapoo got sick with diahrea & vomiting. I immediately took her to the vet and after tests and x-rays, he said her stomach and intestines were very irritated. I had been feeding her American Nutrition from Costco. I felt this was safe food, until I received the recall notice in the mail. It was all of a sudden perfectly clear what made Karma sick. In the recall notice they said that there had been no dogs afected by this recall, so I called them immediately and told them about mine. Thay couldn't have been nice enough, I downloaded some forms, took them to my vet to fill out and they are in the process of reimbursing me for my $500.00 vet bill. That is all well and good but Karma being so sick cannot be compensated for. I am very leary to try anything different, She has been on a bland diet of Science diet and is doing well. But as most of you , I am just furious about the whole thing. |
