Don't worry, he probably doesn't even have 1 puppy, much less 17. He's just posting goofy/sick stuff to get people to react. Just ignore anything he says.
As for the alpha thing - it's like the head of the pack. the dog that is the boss. i read somewhere different ways to let your dog know you're in charge. i can't remember where but one thing it said to do was roll them over on their back and hold them firmly but be gentle (if that makes sense) and growl a little or look them in the eye. it's so they know that they can't tell you what to do. i don't know how much it works with the strong willed ones - mine still thinks she's the boss.
